About the Role
This is an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. The Test Technician's role involves executing, monitoring, and reporting on software and hardware tests to support the development of the OSP system.
* Reporting to the Test Lead.
* Travel within the UK may be required.
* The primary work location will be at Ocado's dedicated R&D site (Swiftfields Campus) or at the CFC site in the UK.
* Perform specific product development testing.
* Carry out commissioning activities.
* Testing and Prototype Commissioning include all OSP/OIA components: Bin, Grid, Bots, Service areas, Peripherals, and User software.
* Report test results and detailed findings/defects to facilitate issue resolution by development teams.
* Collaborate with Technology Project Managers and Engineering Project Managers on testing new components.
* Work out of hours or in shift patterns as needed to support site and testing schedules.
* Meet departmental and project deadlines.
* Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
* Use of tools or measuring equipment may be required during hardware testing activities.
Qualifications:
* Background in Engineering or IT.
* Flexibility in working hours and shift patterns.
* ISTQB Foundation certification.
* Strong analytical skills.
