Rate of Pay: £28.28- £38.00 per hour
Summary:
Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking experienced and dedicated Social Workers to join the Children Services Locality Team within the Family Help service. The role focuses on delivering high-quality social work interventions that safeguard children, strengthen families, and improve outcomes for vulnerable children and young people. This role requires a passionate practitioner with strong assessment, safeguarding, and court work experience who is committed to delivering child-centred practice and achieving positive change for children and families.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a varied and complex caseload involving children, young people, and families.
* Undertake Child in Need, Child Protection, and Court work in line with statutory requirements.
* Prepare clear, accurate, and high-quality reports for court proceedings, case conferences, and assessments.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, procedures, and professional standards.
* Promote safeguarding, child welfare, and early intervention practices.
Essentials:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Minimum five years post-qualifying experience within Children Services.
* Proven ability to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
* Full UK driving licence and access to transport where required.
