Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and cook well-balanced and nutritious meals for considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
2. Collaborate with the team to ensure that special dietary requirements and individual preferences are met.
3. Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in accordance with relevant regulations.
4. Monitor and manage kitchen supplies, ensuring timely ordering and restocking of ingredients.
5. Create menus that cater to a variety of tastes and accommodate special events or celebrations.
6. Adapt recipes to meet the specific needs, considering texture modification and dietary guidelines.
7. Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the kitchen.
Requirements:
8. Valid Right to Work in the UK
9. Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a care home although not essential
10. Food Hygiene and Food Allergen Certificate
11. Understanding of food safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
13. CV covering 5 years work history
14. Reliable and trustworthy
15. Good attention to detail
16. PVG update required through ASA.
