Job Description:
This is a 12-month FTC
The shift pattern is a rotating schedule: 8am - 4pm, 4pm - 12am, 12am - 8am.
There are two openings.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the role supports the effective daily operations of the Quality Department, focusing on food safety, quality engagement, and performance improvement. The department must adapt to evolving business needs while striving to meet targets.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support the Quality Manager and act as the principal Quality Lead on shift, ensuring compliance with food safety, legislative, and regulatory standards.
* Work proactively with operational teams to eliminate quality and food safety incidents, mitigating risks.
* Coordinate with QA Assistants to ensure effective task execution.
* Promote quality awareness and cultural excellence within the team and across the site.
* Support HACCP and food defense initiatives, defining standards and procedures with stakeholders.
* Ensure audits are conducted by trained internal auditors and follow-up actions are completed.
* Manage sampling matrices for compliance and testing of ingredients, packaging, and finished products.
* Collaborate with Supply Chain to verify incoming materials meet quality standards.
* Track performance against KPIs and report deviations to management and clients.
* Assist during customer and third-party audits, managing corrective actions.
* Support review and improvement of quality procedures.
* Provide necessary product and raw material information for specifications.
* Maintain high communication standards.
* Assist in achieving department budgets.
* Adhere to company procedures and promote core values and a culture of development.
Main Job Requirements:
Educational / Certification:
* Degree or higher in Food Science or related field.
Job Related Experience / Skills:
* Experience with AIB, BRC, SQMS, and regulatory audits.
* Internal auditor training.
* Ability to analyze and communicate complex data effectively.
* Proficiency in PC, MS Office, and web-based tools such as TMS, SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, QDA, and others.
* Thorough understanding of Food Safety Systems including HACCP, TACCP, and food defense.
* Leadership skills to motivate teams and meet targets.
* Strong organizational and planning abilities.
* Willingness to travel as required.

Staff Management / Supervisory Responsibilities:

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
* Exposure to bakery ingredients, noise, and extreme temperatures.
* Work involves physical risks around machinery and bakery equipment.
* Light physical effort required, including standing, walking, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and lifting.
* Personal protective equipment provided.
