Simply Education is working with a large primary school in Oxford to recruit a dependable and experienced School Caretaker / Site Manager. This role is ideal for someone with strong maintenance skills and previous experience working in a school or similar environment.
The school site covers approximately five acres, so a proactive and hands-on approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities (Caretaker / Maintenance Duties):
* Opening and locking the school buildings each day
* Carrying out weekly fire alarm testing
* Completing water temperature checks and flushing routines
* Undertaking minor repairs and general maintenance
* Changing light fittings, bulbs, and basic electrical items
* Maintaining school buildings and outdoor areas
* Ensuring the site is safe, secure, and compliant with health & safety regulations
* Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school site
Essential Requirements:
1. Previous experience as a School Caretaker, Site Manager, Maintenance Operative, or similar role
