Role: Strategy & Technology Manager, Wellbeing Collective

Role Purpose
Define and deliver the technology strategy for the Wellbeing Collective, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enabling growth through innovation, shared services, and digital transformation. This role acts as a strategic connector between WBC operating companies, Unilever Global Digital & Technology (GDT), and global transformation teams, driving technology roadmaps, governance, and emerging tech adoption to create measurable business value to Unilever and our Operating Companies.
Main Accountabilities
80% – Strategy & Technology Manager
•
Shape WBC technology strategy and operating model, including governance forums and organisational design.
•
Own financials for WBC Tech – including funding AoP activities, cost transparency to OpCos, and frameworks for charging mechanisms to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
•
Own the 3-year technology roadmap to support long-term business ambitions.
•
Identify, design and kickstart white space projects/programmes based on evolving business requirements. Set-up strategy including business requirements, strategic technical solutioning and operationalising.
•
Coordinate the technology efforts for any future acquisitions within Wellbeing.
•
Define principles for shared services versus OpCo-specific solutions, leveraging UL tech capabilities.
•
Develop and track technology OKRs and strategic priorities across WBC and operating companies, ensuring individuals' goals are clearly aligned to AoP.
•
Track and report progress against AoP and coordinate mitigation activities, as required.
•
Define multi-year product roadmaps in partnership with Product Leads and architects.
•
Lead strategic communication and alignment across WBC leadership, OpCos, and UL D&T.
•
Partner with OpCo leadership and Wellbeing leadership to align technology strategy with business strategy.
•
Act as the bridge between UL teams, WBC product owners, and OpCo Tech/Transformation leads.
•
Lead overarching operating model activities, including organisational transformation and improving colleague understanding.
•
Provide concise and impactful messaging for senior WBC and UL stakeholders.
20% – Wellbeing International (CDIO Tech Lead)
•
Act as technology partner for Wellbeing International, ensuring priorities are embedded in GDT roadmaps.
•
Hold global teams accountable for delivery against agreed requirements.
•
Partner with CDIO teams and product teams to ensure international tech needs are met.
•
Anticipate roadmaps and technology priorities for Wellbeing International.
Additional Responsibilities
•
Leverage outside-in best practices and emerging technology insights in collaboration with Unilever Applied Innovation and vendor partners.
•
Partner with tech teams across Liquid I.V., Olly, SmartyPants, Nutrafol, Onnit, Welly, and Global D&T.
•
Chair governance forums and working groups to drive alignment and decision-making.
•
Foster a positive, high-morale technology community across the Wellbeing Collective, supporting engagement and wellbeing during transformation.
•
Lead the sharing of technology best practices and lessons learned across OpCos, facilitating forums and communities of practice.
•
Collaborate with Architect Lead on Horizon 2 technology roadmaps, identifying emerging trends and opportunities in partnership with Unilever Applied Innovation and external partners.
