The opportunity

This role will be responsible for delivering and developing pricing of our Retail Protection products. This is a key role in enabling the Retail Protection function to achieve its growth strategy. Working within a small but effective team, we desire someone with protection pricing experience, who understands the details of modelling and has a great understanding of the retail protection market.

What will you be doing?
* Develop and enhance modelling approaches for pricing using the latest techniques and software.
* Adapt pricing approaches for different markets and channels.
* Accelerate the delivery timescale of rates to market.
* Ensure processes and models are robust, scalable, and compliant with governance and regulatory standards.
* Monitor performance of Retail Protection products against targets and proactively identify initiatives for success.
* Embed new propositions and enhancements into the pricing process.
* Employ tactical pricing solutions where required.
Who are we looking for?
* A qualified or part-qualified actuary with protection pricing experience at a UK insurer or reinsurer.
* Knowledge of pricing techniques, elasticity modelling, reinsurance, and profitability metrics.
* Strong data analysis skills and confidence working with large data sets.
* Programming experience in R/Python/SQL; coding in Python will be key.
* Good understanding of the UK Protection market.
* Excellent collaboration, organization, and communication skills.
