We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader for our Chilled division to help us maintain our high standards in production and equipment performance. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of skilled engineers in ensuring that our chilled production machinery operates at optimal efficiency. Responsibilities:
* Oversee maintenance, repair, and improvement activities for chilled production machinery
* Lead a team of engineers to carry out preventive maintenance and respond rapidly to equipment issues
* Implement and promote health and safety practices, ensuring a safe working environment
* Collaborate with production teams to assess equipment needs and address performance issues
* Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members to enhance their technical skills
* Maintain documentation related to maintenance activities and equipment performance metrics
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and productivity
Requirements
* Significant experience in an engineering leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a chilled food production environment
* Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems relevant to chilled production operations
* Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team development and collaboration
* Strong troubleshooting skills and an analytical approach to problem resolution
* Keen awareness of health and safety regulations applicable to engineering practices
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and communicate clearly with diverse teams
* Week 1, Monday to Friday- 7am till 4pm
* Week 2, Sunday- 7am till 4pm, Monday to Thursday 2:30am to 11pm
* Hourly paid £26 an hour, overtime at time and a quarter
