1. Days: 08:00 – 16:30
2. Mornings: 06:00 – 14:00
3. Afternoons: 14:00 – 22:00
Hays are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support a busymercial facilities management contract based in the SA12 area. This is a maintenance‑focused role offering stable hours on a rotating shift pattern, with the potential to move into a permanent position.
The RoleYou will be responsible for carrying out reactive and planned mechanical maintenance across amercial environment, working across a rotating shift pattern to support site operations.Key responsibilities include:
4. Reactive and planned mechanical maintenance
5. Plumbing maintenance and repairs
6. Ventilation system maintenance
7. General mechanical building services works
This is not an installation role — the emphasis is on day‑to‑day fault-finding, repairs and maintaining site reliability.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered, you must have:
8. NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in a relevant mechanical trade (Level 2 or above essential)
9. Strong experience in plumbing and ventilation
10. Previous experience working within amercial FM environment
11. Flexibility to work the stated rotating shift pattern
