Purpose of the role
As a Cyber Security Solutions Specialist, you will drive revenue and gross profit growth and expand Bytes’ market presence within a defined customer segment. The primary goal is to proactively identify, develop and close new business opportunities—within existing trading accounts and through net-new customers—collaborating with the Bytes account management team.
Responsibilities
* Sales Execution: Proactively uncover, develop and close net-new or cross-sale opportunities. Participate in customer meetings and create proposals to demonstrate Bytes services and solutions for the sub-proposition area.
* Sales Enablement: Deliver solution- and vendor-enabled sales support to open opportunities within customers.
* Relationship Management: Establish and sustain strong relationships with Bytes and vendor sales teams to optimise sales execution and performance.
* Sales/Financial Performance: Meet and exceed financial targets and KPIs. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities and forecasts using CRM.
* Marketing: Generate ideas for the overall marketing plan and act as a thought leader to showcase Bytes’ value externally.
* Proposition Development: Work with the vendor solutions team to uncover commercial solutions that enhance Bytes’ propositions and identify additional revenue streams aligned with strategic vendors.
* Proposition & Opportunities: Build and maintain a pipeline of Solutions and Services revenue; ensure opportunity data in CRM is up to date; contribute to sales enablement and inbound/outbound marketing efforts.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with Bytes account managers, sales managers and key customer contacts to grow wallet share.
* Customer Engagement: Attend priority customer Quarterly Business Reviews and support cross-functional collaboration across sales, marketing and partners.
Qualifications
* Educational Qualifications: Minimum A-Levels (A-C) in English, Mathematics, and technology-related subjects (desirable).
* Experience: Greater than two years of demonstrable sales experience within software or cyber technology (required).
* Other Requirements: Deep commercial and technical understanding of the Cyber Security & Networking market (required). Experience selling to public sector customers (bonus for Local/Central Government or NHS). Knowledge of Modern Workplace, Public Cloud (Azure or AWS), Hybrid Infrastructure, FinOps, AI, Data Analytics, Automation, Software Asset Management, or Service Management (desirable).
