You will study, train and work as a Pharmacy Support Worker as part of our Pharmacy team based at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Support Workers in our busy, newly automated Pharmacy Department. Your primary role will be to assist the technical team with the day-to-day running of the Dispensary supporting prescription dispensing for patients across our service area.
You will be required to work through a structured training programme towards achieving the SVQ Pharmacy Services qualification at SCQF Level 6 to meet the General Pharmaceutical Councils training requirements for the role.
Responsibilities
You will be required to work through a structured training programme and support the technical team with the day-to-day running of the Dispensary, assisting with prescription dispensing for patients across the service area.
Qualifications and requirements
* Applicants must have achieved, or at the time of interview be working towards 3 National 4 qualifications (or SCQF equivalent) which must include English, Maths and a Science subject as a minimum.
* You will need to be enthusiastic with strong interpersonal and organisational abilities, good communication skills and a strong team work ethic. You must also demonstrate in your application that you possess good written communication skills, and are hard working with good attention to detail. You will need to be flexible in your approach and committed to completing the training programme.
* You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support workers in Scotland and to comply with the code of conduct throughout your employment.
* You will be required to participate in departmental rotas for early/late opening and public holidays.
