The Role
Contek Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner on behalf of our client, a highly respected engineering organisation operating within technically demanding and innovative industries. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, well‑equipped precision workshop producing complex, high‑tolerance components for specialist equipment and high‑end scientific applications. The work is varied and interesting, focusing on quality and accuracy rather than high‑volume production.
The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating a range of CNC lathes, including machines equipped with live tooling. You will play a key role in delivering precision components that support cutting‑edge engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
* Programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC lathes
* Working with Mazatrol controls (essential)
* Producing precision components to tight tolerances
* Machining a wide range of metals and plastics
* Operating machines with live tooling (desirable)
* Ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy
* Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workspace
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a CNC Turner
* Strong Mazatrol programming experience (essential)
* Experience with live tooling (desirable)
* Background in high‑tolerance precision engineering
* Ability to machine a variety of materials confidently
* Excellent attention to detail
* Efficient and accurate working style
* Pride in producing high‑quality work
Working Hours
37½ hours per week
Shift Option 1
* 13:30 - 22:15 Monday to Thursday
* 13:30 - 18:00 Friday
Shift Option 2
* 06:00 - 14:00 Monday to Friday
