Your Role
and What You'll Be Doing
The successful candidate will join Partner, who has extensive experience supporting clients affected by serious and life-changing medical negligence. Sam specialises in complex cases including birth injuries, surgical errors, mental health negligence, and fatal claims, often involving inquests.
Recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, Sam is known for his empathetic and strategic approach, helping clients and their families navigate difficult circumstances with care and clarity. He is committed to improving patient safety and has led national campaigns, including advocating for standardised suicide risk assessments across the NHS.
As a key member of the team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting clients through some of the most challenging times in their lives. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing your own caseload, including litigated matters, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
2. Supporting or leading on complex and high-value claims across a broad spectrum of medical disciplines.
3. Providing accurate, empathetic legal advice and ensuring clients feel supported and informed throughout their journey.
4. Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to deliver a seamless and high-quality service.
About You

You will ideally:
5. Have experience in litigated clinical negligence claims, with a strong background in claimant work.
6. Be confident managing your own caseload and running complex, high-value claims.
7. Be passionate about securing justice and improving clients’ lives.
8. Communicate clearly and compassionately, delivering sensitive legal advice.
9. Work well both independently and as part of a collaborative, supportive team.
