About the Role
Reporting to the Head Mechanic, you will support and partially organise key tasks within the golf course workshop, helping to manage and maintain our fleet of turfcare machinery. This hands‑on role contributes directly to delivering the high standards expected of a top‑quality golf course environment.

2. Ensure the safe and correct operation of all turfcare machinery used by the greenkeeping team.
3. Apply your understanding of machinery and course standards to help prevent long-term damage to turf or course surfaces.

5. Take responsibility for equipment care and promptly report faults, loss, or damage to the Head Mechanic.
6. Assist with the maintenance, servicing, and repair of golf course machinery and associated equipment.
7. Support greenkeeping staff by demonstrating preventative maintenance, cleaning procedures, and basic machine care.
8. Help organise and complete daily machinery checks and setup to ensure full operational readiness.
9. Prepare and set up machinery for the following day, maintaining communication with the Course Manager to meet preparation schedules.
10. Carry out any additional duties needed to support the smooth and efficient running of the workshop and wider department.
