Your Key Responsibilities And Impact Ability and experience crafting creative and engaging content that resonates with local communities. Sourcing of original stories and new voices in line with BBC Cornwall’s key objectives. Proven examples of extending stories’ reach via digital platforms and social media. Live news reading and reporting Editorial & Legal Acumen: Solid grasp of editorial and legal guidelines, underpinning responsible journalism. Essential Criteria YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Live Studio Production: Experience in live broadcast studio production in a professional capacity. Research & Writing: Strong research skills coupled with a flair for writing tight, catchy cues and copy. Attention to Detail: An inherent eye for detail that enhances quality and accuracy, ability to analyse data. Professional Qualification/Experience: Either a recognised journalism qualification or at least two years of industry experience. Working Under Pressure: Ability to perform effectively in high‐pressure, fast‐paced environments. Desired But Not Required Local Insight: Deep familiarity with the BBC Radio Cornwall area and an understanding of the stories that matter to our audience and the wider community in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
