Our client is a well-established specialist contractor delivering Refurbishments, New Build, Fit-Outs, Restoration, and M&E services across the Private, Public, and Social Housing sectors.

With a leadership team bringing over 30 years of industry experience, they have developed strong, long-standing relationships with their supply chain and partners — enabling them to deliver projects exceeding £1 million in value.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of maintenance works, they are now seeking an experienced Maintenance Surveyor to join their team based in Essex.
The Role
The Maintenance Surveyor will be responsible for surveying, pricing, and managing a wide range of maintenance and minor works projects, with values ranging from £100 to £80,000.
Projects can include:

Roofing repairs
*
Vinyl wrapping replacement
*
Small demolitions (including garages)
*
General building defects
*
Internal and external repairs
*
Minor refurbishments and remedial works
You will oversee projects from initial inspection and quotation through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
*
Conducting site inspections and diagnosing building defects
*
Preparing specifications and scopes of work
*
Producing cost estimates and reviewing subcontractor quotations
*
Managing multiple projects simultaneously
*
Monitoring budgets and ensuring commercial control
*
Liaising with clients, tenants, subcontractors, and suppliers
*
Ensuring works comply with health & safety and building regulations
*
Carrying out quality control inspections
*
Reporting progress to senior management
About You
*
Experience in a Maintenance Surveyor, Building Surveyor, or similar role
*
Strong knowledge of building construction and multiple trades
*
Experience pricing and managing small-to-medium value works
*
Good commercial awareness and cost control ability
*
Strong organisational and communication skills
*
Ability to manage projects independently
*
Full UK driving licence
