We are looking to appoint a high calibre Bid Manager to one of the UK’s leading marketing services companies.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
* Responsible for the tender response function from qualification through to pitching stage.
* Bid writing and managing company bid teams to gather responses.
* Continuously appraise the content of the bid library to keep material current, compelling, and catalogued.
* Report on bid activity levels and results for Sales & Marketing and Connect RTM internal meetings.
* Maintain membership of tender subscription services.
* Keep up-to-date with public sector procurement legislation and advise the business as necessary.
* Keep abreast of company proposition and services, along with market and competitor developments.
* Assist in pitches with both material, and where appropriate be on the presentation team.
Skills Required
* Excellent written communication skills.
* Analytical with ability to shape a solution to meet client dilemmas.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain good relationships across the Group and with prospective clients.
* Very proficient in MS Office, especially Word; InDesign skills desirable.
* Excellent time management skills to manage bids simultaneously to deadlines.
* Flexible approach to workload to manage peaks and troughs in the bid pipeline and provide ad‑hoc support in other areas as required.
* Good understanding of company proposition and competitor awareness to develop winning solutions.
