The Commercial and Creative Industries at Carshalton College are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Technician/Instructor competent in all aspects of Beauty Therapy, including managing and maintaining the college Commercial and Training Salons, purchasing and working with the Beauty Team of lecturers.
Youll assist and support academic staff during formal classes and instruct, supervise or assess individual students or groups of students with or without a member of teaching staff present. Youll monitor and control stock levels and order materials and equipment in line with College financial regulations, to meet tutor, student and client requirements.
As our Technician/Instructor, wed like you to hold a relevant vocational, professional or technical qualification at Level 2 and have strong knowledge and understanding of Beauty therapy products and treatments and NVQs in beauty therapy. Youll have experience of working in a relevant technical, creative or commercial environment, able to implement Equal Opportunities practice and policy and challenge discrimination in all its forms.
With excellent communication and organisation skills, youll be able to work both as part of a team and independently, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work in a pressured environment.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
