Employment, 3-5 PQE, Market-leading firm, LondonThe new joiner will work on a broad range of work, including advice on grievance and disciplinary matters, performance management, unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing issues and claims and assistance with litigation in the Employment Tribunal and High Court, including on team moves and settlement agreements. Employer work will include the same matters, as well as general day-to-day advice, work on contracts and policies, strategic and management issues, reorganisations and business transfers. The firm does not operate strict partner teams and so the successful candidate can expect the benefit of working with a range of experienced Partners and senior fee earners. Fee earners are currently allocated a Partner as a Supervisor and have regular mentoring meetings to assist with their development and learning. Partners and senior fee earners will provide appropriate supervision of work and meetings, but also give plenty of responsibility and autonomy to lawyers. This is a dynamic, progressive and entrepreneurial firm, with solicitors expected to take a more ’hands-on’ approach to their workload than they might in larger, more process-driven firms. Lawyers are given much more direct client contact and relationship management responsibility than they might be used to in a larger firm. Please contact me for a confidential discussion: laura.klass@jamesonlegal.com
