Are you looking for a busy administrative role and have an interest in either gaining or expanding your knowledge of People Operations, specifically recruitment? If so, we have just the role for you.
Our friendly team of People Assistants carry out the recruitment for all types of roles across the university, and this role will have a particular focus on the Flexible Workforce/casual recruitment. This position is available on a 6 month fixed term basis
As a People Recruitment Assistant, you will be given some specific departments/schools to support and will:
* act as the first point of contact for recruitment queries and provide proactive support and advice to recruiting managers on all aspects of their recruitment (full training will be given)
* check all recruitment information for accuracy
* respond to a range of queries from applicants
* daily use of our e-recruitment system will be integral to all aspects of your role
* advise managers and staff over right to work queries
* produce employment documentation on a timely basis, ensure all necessary checks (right to work, references, etc) are undertaken
* use our HR/People Service database to set up new employees on a timely basis
You will need:
* to be personable and able to deal confidently with a range of queries
* the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and to follow procedures
* experience in using a database
* previous experience in a busy administrative setting with an understanding of the key areas of recruitment and selection
* the ability to plan and prioritise your workload and work collaboratively with team members to ensure an effective service
