TeacherActive is seeking enthusiastic and professional Tutors to support Primary and Secondary pupils across Preston with their education. We collaborate with Local Authorities to support outreach programmes and offer bespoke education packages for pupils currently unable to attend school.
We work with a diverse range of students, including those with SEND, Medical Needs, and in looked-after environments. Tutors provide learning assistance for students preparing for exams or re-adjusting to mainstream education, with a focus on core skills in English, Maths, and behaviour management.
You can work full-time or part-time, depending on your preference.
Requirements for a Tutor:
* At least 6 months of experience in an educational setting
* Experience working with pupils on a 1-1 basis
* A passion for making a difference in young people's learning
* Knowledge of positive behaviour strategies and helping children self-regulate emotions
* Understanding of working with vulnerable young people, including those in the care system and with SEND
