Job Title: IT Project ManagerLocation: Preston or Frimley. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.Salary: Circa £57,000 dependent on experienceWhat you’ll be doing:Managing a number of medium-large projects to time, cost and quality within the Enterprise IT department via a matrix organisationWorking with suppliers to define and manage project plans which will achieve the project goals and consequent business outcomes via the tracking of key milestones / activitiesEnsuring project delivery adheres to LCM (Life Cycle Management ) governance and assurance criteriaManaging and communicating directly with senior stakeholders across BAEIdentification and management of risks and opportunitiesYour skills and experiences:Essential:Proven experience of successfully delivering projects of size (£250k plus) and moderate complexity, delivering business outcomesProficient understanding of project lifecycle management / methodologyExperience of working within an environment with mature and established governance practices and processesExperience of successfully managing 3rd parties as part of deliveryExperience in delivering one of the following infrastructure technologies; hosting, networks, workplace, software application / upgradesDesirable:Formal Project Management training, preferably PRINCE2 Practitioner or APM (PMDY)Proven experience of both waterfall and agile project delivery methodologiesBenefits:As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.The IT Project teamWithin the project team, you will deliver business and enterprise IT Projects to cost, timescale, quality, and customer satisfaction, into the UK’s Leading Defence Companies. This is an opportunity to work with the Product and Integration (P&I) Portfolio, amongst a team of Project Managers split across a number of functions.
