Service Engineer

We are seeking a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Service Engineer to play a crucial role in delivering the technical aspects across a broad spectrum of engineering, supporting the Operations delivery teams and undertaking roles involving the servicing of environmental protection equipment. You will be key to technical proposals/ solutions for clients, ensuring that delivery is executed according to relevant standards and good practice guidance.

1. Audit sites to ensure compliance with Adler and Allan standards and specifications, client expectations and sound safety practices are observed.
2. Promote safety to ensure we operate a safe and professional service.
3. Be able to problem solve and resolve issues on site.
4. Assist in the delivery of interceptor installations, de-commissioning, and servicing.
5. Continually assess and ensure day to day operations and service delivery is of the highest quality, accuracy and efficiency.
6. Prepare scope of works documents, risk assessments and method statements.
7. Operating Company vehicles which the post holder is suitably qualified to operate.
8. Preparation of estimates and proposals to clients following site surveys.
9. Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to depot and group management.

About you:
11. Basic knowledge of single and three-phase motors.
12. Knowledge of separator/interceptor systems. Possess an understanding of relevant standards and good practice, BS EN 858-2:2003 Separator systems for light liquids and BS EN 1825 for Grease separators is preferable.
13. Basic knowledge of electrical control panels.
14. Knowledge of Sewage Treatment plants and pumping stations.
15. Possess knowledge and experience of issuing and completing RAMS documentation.
16. Possess a sound engineering knowledge.
17. A willingness to work in an environment of change, dealing with emergency works is essential.
18. Due to the nature of the role a flexible approach to working hours, travel and working days is required.
19. Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel and E Mail; must be able to prepare and present reports using such applications.
20. Full UK driving licence.
21. Willingness to undertake additional training as required to meet the needs of the depot/ group.
22. Right to Work in the UK.
Desirable to Hold:
23. 18th Edition wiring regulations – BS7671.
24. Electrical or mechanical competencies – Level 2/3/NVQ or equivalent
