Role: Care Assistant
Salary: £14 per hour (higher rate on bank holidays)
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Job Type: Part Time or Full Time
Shifts Pattern: 12 hour Days and Nights (0800-2000) Monday to Sunday
Role Overview: As a Care Assistant at Sugarman Health and Wellbeing, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals who require complex clinical care and assistance with daily living tasks. Your responsibilities will include clinical delegated tasks, personal care, supporting mobility, medication administration and offering emotional support to those who need it.
You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure our clients live a comfortable and fulfilling life.
Key Responsibilities as a Care Assistant:
* Conduct clinical tasks (you will be signed off as competent by a Nurse Care Manager)
* Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Support clients with mobility and transfers
* Administer medication and ensure proper documentation
* Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
* Provide companionship and emotional support
* Monitor and report any changes in the client's condition to senior staff
* Work collaboratively with family members and health care professionals to meet the client's needs
* Provide care and support in the community
* Supporting with organising trips and creating itineraries
What We're Looking for in a Care Assistant:
* Previous experience in care (minimum 6 months in the UK)
* Strong communication skills
* Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude
* The right documents to live and work in the UK
* A clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
* A driving license (if required for the role)
* Up to date CV
