Job Description
Job Title: Product Safety Engineer
Location: Coventry – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Support peer reviews, verification, and assurance tasks to demonstrate the adequacy of the Safety Case and supporting documentation.
2. Assist in producing and managing Project Safety Management Plans.
3. Develop an understanding of the wider Safety Case, Quality, and HS&E Management System.
4. Assist in hazard and risk identification, management, and assessment activities related to Product Safety.
5. Assist in deriving and managing Product Safety requirements.
6. Assist in creating training materials to support training delivery.
Your skills and experiences:
* Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent.
* Awareness of environmental challenges related to the product's exposure.
* Knowledge of submarine lifecycle phases including design, manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and testing.
* Ability to interpret technical data.

The Integrated Combat Systems Team
As a Product Safety Engineer, you will support the Engineering Delivery Manager in developing and maintaining the Project Product Safety Management System and Safety Case, ensuring product safety and legal compliance. We provide relocation support for eligible roles.
