An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Trainee Medicines Counter Assistant/Dispenser to join our team. As a Trainee Medicines Counter Assistant/Dispenser you will learn to be the first point of contact for our customers, who are from every walk of life, and whether they need healthcare advice, we will train you to provide excellent customer service.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Dispensing medication to patients under the supervision of a pharmacist
* Over-the-counter sales of non-prescription medicines
* Using pharmacy software for data entry and labelling
* Stock rotation, date checking, and maintaining a tidy dispensary
* Housekeeping duties
* Liaising with GP's and other healthcare professionals
* Following all health and safety responsibilities and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
* Assisting in maintaining accurate record-keeping and prescription filing
* Providing excellent customer service and advice, referring to the pharmacist where needed
* Completing apprenticeship coursework on time
Training & Qualification
You will work towards:
* Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
* Medicines Counter Assistant Course accredited by the GPhC
* In-house training and mentoring from our experienced team
