We are seeking a proven technology delivery leader to establish and lead a high-performing, centralised project and product delivery function, owning the end-to-end delivery lifecycle. The role will lead a mix of direct and matrixed teams across multiple organisations, providing consistency and continuity while accommodating different ways of working.
The Head of Delivery is accountable for defining the delivery operating model, organisational design, standards, and processes, and for building a high-performing function through strong leadership, coaching, and continuous improvement.
* Design and implement an effective delivery operating model and centralised delivery function.
* Define roles, address capability gaps, and recruit and upskill teams to meet delivery needs.
* Lead change and adoption of new ways of working across project and product delivery.
* Own the investment and portfolio lifecycle, including pipeline creation, prioritisation, sequencing, and capacity planning.
* Establish and operate portfolio governance, stage gates, and executive-level visibility of delivery outcomes.
* Manage value tracking and realisation across project and product initiatives.
* Define, embed, and continuously improve delivery frameworks, standards, and ways of working.
* Ensure best practice across planning, estimation, risk, dependency, and delivery management.
* Use data and metrics to drive continuous improvement and predictable delivery outcomes.
* Sponsor the automation and tooling strategy to improve delivery speed, quality, and transparency.
* Build trusted relationships with executive and senior stakeholders, enabling clear decision-making and accountability.
* Translate technology and business roadmaps into executable delivery plans.
* Communicate clearly with executives on progress, risks, exceptions, and decisions, navigating complexity to drive commitment.
