Studio Coordinator
Creative Sample Studio — a sample development studio and design bureau located in West London. We are seeking an experienced and highly professional Studio Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial for bridging design, production, and management, ensuring flawless execution of sample development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full responsibility for coordinating studio operations, from initial planning to delivery.
* Supervise and guide the development of garments, ensuring proper processing and construction methods are applied.
* Work directly with fabrics and materials, understanding their behavior and advising on the best processing techniques.
* Collaborate with machine operators and technical staff, understanding how machinery is used in production.
* Partner with pattern makers to discuss and align on garment processing and finishing details.
* Review and delegate work assignments, ensuring smooth workflow between departments.
* Communicate with the Studio Manager on stock requirements and studio needs.
* Select and approve the most technologically appropriate trims and components.
* Work closely with designers, guiding them on feasible garment constructions and providing technical advice.
* Monitor orders, track studio stock, and ensure resources are available for ongoing projects.
* Maintain professional-level communication with senior management, partners, and external collaborators.
Candidate Profile:
* Minimum 15 years of professional experience in a similar role within fashion, textiles, sample development, or related industries.
* Strong knowledge of garment development, fabric behavior, and finishing techniques.
* In-depth understanding of processing technologies, machinery, and construction methods.
* Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and liaising with multiple departments.
* Energetic, highly responsible, and confident in taking ownership of processes and decisions.
* Exceptional communication skills, able to work with designers, managers, and partners at a professional level.
* Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
