About the role you’re considering

An exciting opportunity to work as part of a growing Infrastructure department supporting multiple high-profile clients as part of the Capgemini portfolio. The role of Storage & Backup Engineer will be a forward-thinking position, which gives opportunities to assist with project and transition work as required. Someone who can work in a busy and challenging environment, with a proven track record in day-to-day support and project work, delivering to high quality standards.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including:
identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)

Your role

1. Provide BAU support of the SAN environment and Backup environment.
2. Maintaining documentation and Producing management reports.
3. Implementing changes according to client change management process
4. Managing Backups (end to end configuration, rerunning failed backups)
5. Disaster recovery testing and Tape Management/Rotation

Your skills and experience

6. Familiarity with SAN Switch Management commands (Brocade, and Cisco)
7. Storage Management software skills
8. HP and EMC Storage (Powerstore, Isilon, ECS and Unity)
9. Brocade and Cisco SAN switches
10. Familiarity with SNOW Incident and Change Management and Veritas Netbackup

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain.


To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
