Overview
We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Deputy Head of Finance to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to support both our Head of Finance and newly appointed Finance Director during a pivotal time of transition and strategic development.
You’ll play a key role in leading financial operations, driving improvements, and ensuring robust financial control across our multi-site organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting financial and management accounting, reporting, and control activities.
* Leading budgeting and forecasting processes for P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet.
* Managing and developing finance teams across multiple locations.
* Enhancing financial systems and ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
* Preparing board-level reports and monthly management accounts.
* Overseeing tax compliance, statutory accounts, and external audits.
* Driving system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
You’re a confident and forward-thinking finance professional who brings:
* A degree-level qualification in accounting or a related field.
* Proven experience in senior finance roles, including planning, budgeting, and reporting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage multi-site teams.
* Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in financial operations.
* A solid understanding of financial systems, internal controls, and compliance.
* Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
* Experience in project management and system upgrades.
* Knowledge of strategic financial planning and risk management.
* A proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
* Experience in healthcare or multi-site environments (desirable but not essential).
Location and Contract Details
Location: The Horder Centre, Crowborough
Contract Type: Fixed Term – 6 Months
Working Pattern: 37.50 hours per week
