We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that each child receives the care and attention they need to thrive.
Duties
* Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's development in line with early childhood education principles.
* Supervise and interact with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive nursery environment.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space, ensuring it is safe and welcoming for all children.
* Collaborate with other staff members to manage classroom behaviour and promote positive interactions among children.
Skills
* Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children and their families.
* A or related fields is advantageous.
* Leadership qualities to assist in guiding younger staff or volunteers within the nursery environment.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanour under pressure.
* A valid driving licence may be beneficial for transporting materials or attending off-site activities as needed.
