Adults Care Home Support Worker – Learning Disabilities Team

Adults Care Home Support Worker within Learning Disabilities Team/Ageing Health Needs and Mental Health in Oxfordshire UK earning £13.47 per hour Hourly.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and compassionate individual to become an integral part of our Learning Disabilities Team in Oxfordshire on an ongoing basis. With shifts running from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, this Day Shift role is perfect for those who thrive on making a meaningful difference during their day. Your contribution in various locations such as Wallingford, Witney, Headington, Wantage, Bicester, and Banbury will play a pivotal role in enhancing the well‑being of adults with learning disabilities, Autism, and related needs.

What you will do:

* Ensure that all individuals are fully involved with their person‑centred planning, with their plans developed and shared with them and their support network.
* Contribute to team duties including personal and healthcare provision, ensuring statutory requirements are fulfilled.
* Support people with Autism by developing an environment and approach that meets their unique needs and empowers them with choice and control over their lives.
* Assist individuals or groups in planning and preparing for various activities, including sport, leisure, recreation, and college courses.
* Support Intensive Interaction and other Total Communication methods identified by local services and the individual’s network.
* Be responsible for health and safety, vehicle safety checks, and ensure accountability for administering medication and finances.
* Undertake transport duties and driving responsibilities for services and community activities.
* Work within safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring timely escalation of any necessary ‘Safeguarding Alert’.
* Promote community integration, utilising community resources to help individuals meet their identified outcomes.
* Engage in cross‑agency collaboration to provide person‑centred support.
* Take ownership of professional development and share learning across the organisation.
* Participate in service development and performance enhancement activities.
* Contribute to team success against performance targets, ensuring robust implementation of feedback through the Council’s Comments and Complaints policy.
