Due to retirement of the previous post holder, Governors of our small and friendly Maintained Nursery School wish to appoint a permanent, part-time Enhanced Teaching Assistant to start working with us from November 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the daily care and development of children, working closely with parents and other staff to ensure each child feels valued and encouraged in their growth. Applicants must hold a qualification that meets the approved ‘full and relevant’ criteria for Early Years qualifications and inclusion in staffing ratios. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. The working pattern is 15 hours a week Thursday 8am – 4pm Fridays: 8am – 3.30pm Staff meetings on Wednesdays from 3.30pm – 4.30pm on a fortnightly basis More hours will be available on a casual basis Closing date: Friday 3rd October 2025 at 3.30pm Interview date: Week commencing Monday 13th October 2025 Please return completed applications to the school Calculation of term time only plus two weeks’ pay Term time only plus two additional weeks’ pay is calculated on the basis of the following: • Number of ‘teaching’ weeks – 38 weeks; plus • Public (bank) holidays – 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus • Two additional weeks, inclusive of CPD – 2 weeks; plus • Individual leave entitlement - 5.4 weeks (27 days) or 6.4 weeks (32 days) Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive 32 days annual leave.
