Senior Controls and Automation Engineer - Norfolk - up to £80,000 - Hybrid/Remote options available + Benefits - Ref 1898
I am currently recruiting for a Senior Controls and Automation Engineer to work for a leading organisation based in Norfolk. Salary up to £80,000 + Benefits.
This organisation is seen as the expert within their field of specialism and subsequently has a reputation of unrivalled excellence. They employ over 50 people and have some of the best engineers within their respective disciplines working for them to ensure they continue to spearhead the market ahead of their competitors, enabling them to provide solutions to challenges that many don't have the answers for.
To support the growth of the business, they now have the need to appoint another Senior Controls and Automation Engineer on a permanent basis.
In this role as a Senior Controls and Automation Engineer, you will liaise with customers and clients to understand their brief. You will then create a specification and design the appropriate systems. This may involve designing PLCs from scratch, but where an existing framework is in place, it could be more a case of completing the necessary modifications and alterations to an existing code base. Approximately 10% of your time will be spent on-site overseeing the commissioning and installation of projects, while the remaining 90% will be office-based, hybrid or remote depending upon the agreement.
Essential Requirements:
1. Experience working as a Senior Controls and Automation Engineer or similar
2. Experience developing PLCs from scratch ideally (Allen Bradley or Siemens)
3. Experience working in the Utilities industry
Desirable Requirements:
1. SCADA
2. Functional Safety
3. TÜV certification
4. Knowledge of IEC 62443 standards
