Production Manager - Premium Contemporary Furniture Brand
45K-50K + Benefits | Full Time On Site
Location: Yorkshire - location commutable from Sheffield, Leeds, Huddersfield, Manchester, York
Reporting to the H/O Operations
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead and develop the production function within a bespoke manufacturing environment of a high-profile, premium contemporary furniture brand. This role is responsible for delivering production plans safely and efficiently to the highest quality standards, while embedding manufacturing and continuous improvement across the business. You will champion great team culture, new processes, and lead a fantastic, passionate team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve high performance, quality, and safety
* Plan and manage production schedules and resources to meet delivery targets
* Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and efficiency initiatives
* Ensure quality and compliance through SOPs, 5S, and ISO standards
* Collaborate with Warehouse, Purchasing, and NPD to support smooth production flow and new product launches
* Oversee equipment and maintenance to minimise downtime
About You
* Proven experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role within manufacturing
* Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
* Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Confident people leader with strong cross-functional communication skills
* Experience working in bespoke or custom product environments (desirable)
* Proven experience leading production & manufacturing teams 5+ people
Desirable Experience
* Qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Production Management (HNC/D, Degree, or equivalent)
* Experience implementing or maintaining ISO Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety.
* Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems
* Experience in introducing and scaling new product lines
* Relevant production management experience is essential
