Job Description
3. Deliver accurate and timely month-end and year-end closes, including journals, reconciliations and reporting packs
4. Maintain general ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations and cash/bank processes
5. Support statutory reporting (FRS 102), technical accounting and group consolidation
6. Assist with audit processes, ensuring strong documentation, controls and compliance
7. Support tax and regulatory requirements, including VAT, corporation tax and filings
8. Manage payroll reconciliations and statutory deductions
9. Own the finance reporting timetable and ensure deadlines are met
10. Drive process improvements, controls and system enhancements
11. Partner with stakeholders across the business to support financial insight and decision-making
The Successful Applicant
A successful candidate should have:
12. Newly qualified ACA / ACCA (0-2 years PQE) with a strong grounding in financial reporting, audit or financial control
13. Good working knowledge of FRS 102 and statutory accounting
14. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
15. High level of attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
16. Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business
17. Proactive, organised and self-motivated, with a desire to learn and make an impact
