About the Role
This role is crucial to the success of students and focuses on ensuring that the Personal Development, Behaviours and Attitudes demonstrated by students enable them to achieve their educational and career goals in a supportive, nurturing environment.
The postholder will be responsible for delivering well-planned and sequenced tutorial sessions, both in group and one-to-one settings. This provides an excellent opportunity to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and approaches needed for work and daily life, supported by an outstanding wraparound care system to motivate and bolster them.
Additionally, the successful applicant will serve as a Designated Safeguarding Officer and will coordinate support for Looked After and Care-Experienced students, students with EHCP or SEND needs, and those accessing Additional Learning Support.
This position is a vital part of the Printworks Campus PDBA team and will play a key role in continuing the innovation and development of the service.
What You Will Do
* Deliver key PDBA topics to students, including planning and preparation.
* Liaise with internal and external colleagues to support students throughout their journey.
* Collaborate with colleagues in the School of Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure proper use of policies and procedures, monitor attendance and punctuality, manage At Risk students, and respond to urgent support needs.
* Work with the Printworks Campus PDBA team to develop, improve, and monitor student support services.
About You
* Hold a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE) or be willing to work towards it.
* Possess a relevant highest-level vocational qualification or degree in the teaching subject.
* Be a student-focused team player capable of managing a crucial role pivotal to student success.
* Have an aptitude for assessing evolving situations and making balanced, fair decisions, applying principles of Restorative Practice and Positive Regard.
* Be collaborative, professional, and effective, working well with others to achieve optimal outcomes.
