Join our motivated, public-focused and integrated property team, where you can enjoy a purposeful career and contribute to the delivery of vital services to Hampshire’s residents.

We seek a Property Records Team Leader to join our 400-strong, integrated, multi-disciplinary property team. Recognised as one of the highest performing local authorities in the UK, our property team expertly delivers a wide range of building and asset management projects for the County Council and other partner organisations, successfully matching a commercial approach to a public sector brief.

What you’ll do:

Based in Winchester, the heart of Hampshire, as the Property Records Team Leader, you will lead and provide day today oversight of the Property Records team. This team is responsible for maintaining Hampshire County Council’s core property and land asset information within the Concerto Asset Management system, as well as the supporting GIS layers and CAD floorplans.

Under the direction of the Business Intelligence management team, you will ensure that the team’s work remains aligned with and supports the Council’s evolving organisational needs. Using strong relationship building skills and a proactive, solutions focused approach, you will positively challenge existing processes and drive continuous improvement. Your oversight of the team will ensure the consistency, accuracy, quality, and reliability of property records, supporting effective asset management, business intelligence, and strategic decision making across the organisation.

What we’re looking for:

We’re seeking someone with strong organisational and workload management skills, capable of effectively planning and balancing multiple priorities. You should be confident in managing competing demands, both for yourself and across a team, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.

You will bring well-developed leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support others while fostering a positive and productive team environment. A genuine commitment to developing colleagues and helping them reach their full potential is essential.

A solid understanding of data quality principles and data governance best practices is important in this role. You should be comfortable working with data standards and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability in all outputs.

There are many reasons we are a great choice for your next career move:

* We offer a pleasant, supportive, and collaborative working environment which promotes an excellent work-life balance
* Hybrid working: This role is based in Winchester with a hybrid working arrangement (office and home working – minimum 1 day per week) to suit operational requirements and you are required to attend meetings in Winchester when required
* We are committed to inclusion, diversity and wellbeing. Staff are encouraged to get involved in a variety of internal Networks (BME, staff disability, Carers and working parents, and LGBT+) in accordance with our Inclusion Strategy
* Flexible and family friendly working patterns such as compressed and part-time hours
* Generous annual leave plus bank holidays and paid sick leave
* Staff discounts for a range of goods and services, including travel and eyecare
* Opportunities to develop your skills and experience, informally, or formally
* The support of a wider team who will value you and what you achieve
