The Role
To provide a comprehensive professional multi-disciplined Project Management service. This will be within a PSSD team, working in the development and execution of projects comprising statutory compliance works, building extensions, new build properties, alterations, refurbishments and general upgrading of building fabric and engineering services. This will take place within long‑term strategic programmes such as statutory plans, backlog maintenance and clinical service development, as well as ad‑hoc minor works projects. The role will also include monitoring and reviewing the Capital Plan and Minor Works Capital Plan, incorporating the requirements of the SCART statutory compliance system and ensuring EAMS information is communicated to the relevant departments.

What we’ll need you to bring
* Relevant Degree or equivalent in an Estates related subject, e.g. electrical or mechanical engineering, building construction, supplemented by specialist knowledge acquired through CPD post‑graduate courses or training.
* NEC 3 or 4 Accredited Project Manager
* NEC 3 or 4 Accredited Supervisor
* Membership of a related professional institution, e.g. IHEEM, CIOB, RICS, IET, IOSH
* Experience working within the health service profession and a sound knowledge of building services and/or building construction, including specialist systems unique to the health service.
* Excellent communication skills and strong IT skills
* A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence, where required
It would be great if you also have:
* Project management experience at a senior level with staff line management responsibilities.
* Preferably a previous health care Project Management role.
* Experience in contract specification, procurement and evaluation of tenders/proposals.
* Previous contract management and monitoring.
* Knowledge and experience of project management of capital projects.
* Knowledge of writing and assessing briefs and tenders.
* Knowledge and experience of managing technical advisors.
* Knowledge of healthcare project management and utilisation of project management systems unique to healthcare.
* Ability to take responsibility, show leadership, make decisions with a high degree of autonomy and give direction to direct reports.
* Ability to prepare and present clear and readily understandable written and oral reports to senior managers.
* Work cooperatively with others.
* Able to operate under pressure and give direction.
* Develop and deliver presentations to senior managers and board representatives.

Location and Working Pattern
The role will be based in University Hospital Wishaw. Working pattern is Mon‑Fri, 9:00‑5:00.
