Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering with a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business in Sheffield to support the growth of their engineering team with the addition of a CAD/CAM Programmer.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:
* Take ownership of the manufacturing process from concept through to production
* Lead and manage multiple engineering projects and provide early risk identification
* Represent Engineering in daily operations meetings and drive actionable solutions
* Provide cost estimates and technical input for quotations
* Use CAM software (Hypermill, MasterCam) to program multi-axis CNC machines
* Design fixtures and tooling using CAD software (ideally Siemens NX)
* Create in-process documentation and ensure technical accuracy of prints
* Continuously improve machining processes to reduce cycle times and costs
* Troubleshoot production issues using 8D or DMAIC methodologies
* Work cross-functionally with Quality, Planning, Production, and Customer teams
🎯 What We’re Looking For:
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Strong CNC programming and machining background
* CAM software experience: Hypermill, Mastercam, or Vericut
* CAD design experience, preferably Siemens NX
* Proficient in GD&T and interpreting technical drawings
* Understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
* Confident using ERP systems (BOMs, routings, item masters)
* Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
* Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Desirable:
* Industry experience in aerospace and/or orthopaedics
* Knowledge of process capability and measurement systems
* Skilled in cost estimating and project tracking
🎓 Qualifications:
* Time-served apprenticeship or degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
* 5+ years in a similar role
