A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled and nurturing Nursery Assistant to join a dedicated early years team at a welcoming setting in the L5 area of Liverpool.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in early years interventions and a passion for supporting young children in their developmental journey.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver targeted fine motor skills interventions to help children develop essential pre-writing and coordination abilities
2. Support and implement phonics interventions in line with early reading strategies
3. Use and assist with Bucket Therapy sessions to help develop children’s attention and listening skills
4. Work closely with the class teacher and SEN staff to support the learning and development of identified children
5. Assist with personal care routines, including toileting and hygiene, with sensitivity and professionalism
6. Engage with children in play-based learning to encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
7. Proven experience in a nursery or early years setting, ideally with a focus on interventions
8. A good understanding of early years development, including phonics and fine motor progression
9. Experience with or knowledge of Bucket Therapy techniques
10. Experience working within or alongside a Forest School setting would be highly desirable
11. A warm, positive attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with children and staff
12. Willingness to carry out personal care duties as required
13. A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or above preferred)
14. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
