Level 2 Food & Beverage Team Member Apprenticeship at Castle Hall Academy

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Hospitality Team Member Apprentice. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment while working towards a recognised qualification.

Apprenticeship Overview

* Salary: £7.55 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds
* Working Week: Monday to Friday - 9am - 3.30pm (30 minute break)
* Hours: 30 hours per week
* Duration: 15 months
* Level 2 Food & Beverage Team Member Apprenticeship standard qualification
* Online training supported by our dedicated tutor
* Location: Richard Thorpe Avenue, Mirfield, WF14 9PH

Duties

* To perform kitchen and cleaning duties in accordance with the School's Health and Safety policy, COSHH regulations and all statutory health and safety requirements.
* To prepare basic food items within agreed cooking methods, portion controls and as required. To maintain highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen and the dining area and ensure that cleaning schedule is completed on a daily basis.
* To assist in the production and service of special events as required.
* To serve staff, pupils and visitors at service time to the required standard
* To check in and store deliveries in accordance with due diligence procedures.
* To undertake such other work as requested up to or at a level consistent with the principal duties and responsibilities of the role

Essential Qualifications

* GCSEs in English and Maths at grades 4–9 (A*–C) desirable

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will obtain a Level 2 Food & Beverage Team Member Apprenticeship standard qualification.

You will be assigned a designated Vocational Trainer. Alongside the this, you will agree on a personal learning and development plan, setting a timetable of learning activities in preparation for the End Point Assessment (EPA).

The Vocational Trainer will meet with the apprentice regularly either online or face to face to complete and review assessments, provide further coaching where required and agree the next steps of learning.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Potential full-time employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Pre-employment checks. Please be aware that upon a successful offer of employment, the company completes digitalised right-to-work checks and DBS applications via an external provider - 'Matrix Screening'. The company also completes an internal online social media search, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.
