GA Barnie Group has an exciting opportunity for a skilled *Gas Engineer* to join our team on a permanent basis, working in and around the *Inverness area*.
*Role Overview:*
As a *Gas Engineer*, you will be responsible for carrying out *planned and reactive maintenance* on gas systems across *domestic,* (potentially commercial, and industrial) Your role will involve diagnosing and repairing faults, performing new installations, and ensuring all work meets industry standards and service level agreements. Additionally, you will provide *first-line emergency response* during both normal working hours and on-call periods.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Carry out *reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs* on gas systems.
* Undertake *new installations* and *planned preventive maintenance (PPM)* with full documentation.
* Ensure all work complies with *industry regulations and safety standards*.
* Work independently and collaboratively on *large-scale projects*.
* Mentor and support *apprentices* within the team.
* Maintain a proactive and problem-solving approach to daily tasks.
*Essential Skills & Qualifications:*
✔ Proven experience in *domestic* gas environments.
✔ *Domestic Gas Certification*.
✔ *OFTEC & GasSafe registered*.
✔ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
✔ Ability to work both independently and within a team.
✔ Willingness to train and mentor apprentices.
✔ A *full, clean UK driving licence*.
✔ A *current Disclosure Scotland/PVG check* (or willingness to obtain one).
