The Opportunity: VP Marketing
We are looking for an exceptional VP Marketing who can transform and lead our marketing function, driving effectiveness, clarity, and significant revenue impact. This is a pivotal role designed for a strategic visionary who thrives on delivering measurable outcomes, clear ROI, and aligning marketing closely with core business objectives.
Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, you'll be responsible for shaping and executing a powerful marketing vision, building and nurturing a high-performance marketing team, supercharging demand generation efforts, and deploying advanced marketing measurement and analytics. As VP Marketing, your leadership will be instrumental in driving key business performance metrics, including ARR growth, customer retention, and market penetration. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership & Foundations
* Define a clear vision for marketing's role in driving commercial outcomes
* Articulate marketing's business value and expected ROI clearly
* Develop a comprehensive customer strategy: define target segments, revenue expectations, and desired behaviour changes
* Lead the development and consistent application of compelling brand positioning, messaging, and identity across the organization
* Understand the competitor landscape in detail to inform strategies and tactics
* Ensure an effective product marketing approach
Team Building & Leadership
* Building on the current team, create a skilled, high-performing international marketing team
* Address skill gaps proactively by hiring into key roles
* Foster a proactive, strategic, and results-driven marketing culture
* Strong communication of the vision and plan to inspire the team and manage them based on clear objectives
Demand Generation
* Drive substantial pipeline growth via strategic, targeted, data-driven demand generation and account-based marketing strategies
* Lead digital channel optimization to significantly enhance customer engagement and conversion
* Implement marketing automation, lead tracking, and campaign management tools (HubSpot and other martech platforms)
Planning & Process
* Establish rigorous, proactive marketing planning aligned to business priorities
* Develop and communicate a clear annual marketing plan, coordinating effectively across functions including Sales, Product, and Customer Success
* Set up processes to optimize efficiency and performance
Measurement & Analytics
* Build and implement a robust marketing analytics framework with clear KPIs, performance metrics, and ROI tracking
* Develop a full-funnel view from brand awareness through conversion
* Ensure seamless integration of marketing analytics (including Google Analytics) for accurate, actionable insights
* Ensure a consistent, reliable attribution model to measure marketing effectiveness accurately
Partner & Agency Management
* Manage agency roster and relationships to ensure roles and clear and that they deliver measurable quality and ROI
Experience & Skills Required
* 8–15 years of senior-level marketing leadership experience, ideally within high-growth B2B software or services. Exposure to cybersecurity, or IT services, is desirable but not mandatory
* Demonstrable expertise in demand generation, brand development, customer strategy, and getting value from martech (particularly HubSpot)
* Proven ability to lead change, build clarity and alignment across marketing and commercial teams, and deliver impactful commercial outcomes.
* International marketing experience across European countries desirable
Education & Language
* Bachelor’s degree required
* Fluent English required, additional European languages beneficial
