Programmes Administrator (SS13471) - Bath, BA2 7AYAbout the role We are looking for a Programmes Administrator to join our busy Taught Programmes Team in the Faculty of Science, this is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team, where your contributions will directly impact the success of our programmes. In this varied and busy role, you’ll be responsible for a range of programme-related administrative tasks, including:Teaching & Programme Support - Leading operational administration to enable the continued success of units and programmes across the Faculty and ensuring smooth course delivery.Student and Academic Support – Providing advice and information to colleagues and students on taught programmes matters including programme and unit changes, coursework submission, extension enquiries and individual mitigating circumstancesRecords & Compliance – Maintaining accurate student records and ensuring compliance with Data Protection and Freedom of Information regulations.Secretariat Support – Supporting committees with minute taking (using Teams Premium intelligent recap) and providing relevant regulation guidanceAssessment Cycle – Supporting the exams cycles throughout the academic year including setting up exams, gathering and uploading marks, creating Boards of Examiners reports and other associated tasksYou will be part of a large team where collaborative working is our focus but will also have the ability to stay on task, juggle multiple tasks and work autonomously at times. If you are an organised individual with an HE background or equivalent experience that has worked in a busy office environment recently and can work under pressure whist juggling conflicting priorities with a positive mindset, we are interested in you!About youWe’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working to deadlines at key times of the year. You will need:Excellent organisational skills – managing multiple tasks and deadlines with ease.Strong IT skills – comfortable working with university systems, data bases, programme records and other cloud based software such as Power Automate, Teams Premium and Copilot.Great communication skills – engaging confidently with students (and signposting to relevant support services where relevant), academics, and external stakeholders.A proactive approach – taking initiative and working with autonomy when needed.A team-focused mindset – supporting colleagues and contributing to a collaborative working environment.Further informationWe currently operate a hybrid model mixing a minimum of three days each week on campus and two days per week working from home. You would be expected to work on campus on a Tuesday as standard. Having established a regular working pattern, there may occasionally be times where you will need to be on campus at other times during the working week e.g. during assessment weeks when an in person presence is required.
