We are looking for an experienced and proactive legal professional to support our Head of Legal in delivering high‑quality, strategic advice to senior managers, Council Members, and Parish Councils.
As Senior Lawyer, you will play a key role in shaping, developing, and continuously improving our legal services. You will lead a small team of skilled lawyers
In this role, you will also act as the Deputy Monitoring Officer, fulfilling statutory responsibilities and providing high‑level governance support. A strong background in property and planning law is essential, along with broad experience across a range of local government legal matters. You will also supervise and mentor other lawyers within the team.

* A qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
* A current, unrestricted Practising Certificate
* Strong knowledge of local government law
* Experience leading or supervising legal professionals
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
