You will be based at our modern Head Office in the vibrant city center of Cardiff, which is well-connected by transport links, with London just 2 hours away by train.

The role
As a Buyer, you will assist in developing, sourcing, and delivering a trend-focused, commercially successful product range, while driving profit and strengthening the Peacocks brand. You will be part of our close-knit Head Office team, ensuring our ranges align with our brand vision and strategy.
Responsibilities/Objectives:
* Develop a balanced product range that meets margin targets;
* Conduct regular product reviews across departments to align with trends and color palettes;
* Manage the product sign-off process in accordance with critical path timelines;
* Ensure deadlines are met, raising issues and communicating action plans promptly;
* Analyze sales data to identify top-performing products and inform future decisions;
* Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain optimal products, prices, and terms;
* Lead meetings with senior management to communicate key information and follow up on actions;
* Collaborate with other departments to successfully launch new product lines and seasonal collections;
* Work with merchandising to monitor stock levels, margins, and profit targets.
Skills and Experience:
* Experience in a Fashion Retail Buying role with a strong commercial mindset;
* Deep knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and the buying process, with an eye for print and pattern;
* Passion for trends and ability to drive innovation in a fast-paced environment;
* Excellent negotiation skills and relationship-building abilities with suppliers;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external collaboration;
* Proven success in developing and trading highly commercial fashion ranges exceeding sales and profit targets.
