About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced sales manager to take on the Area Sales Manager role around the North West of England, covering Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington and other locations within the region.

The main focus of the role is to maximise all business opportunities (new, used, rentals, aftermarket) by selling the full range of Linde Material Handling equipment. Working together with other departments, the Area Sales Manager will ensure agreed service levels are maintained and customers retained.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This role is required to support the North West on Used Truck Sales across 16 postcodes.

11. Identify and promote all used truck business opportunities
12. Sell the complete range of used counterbalance and warehouse equipment to all business types
13. Sell service maintenance contracts and other value add opportunities for the Company based on the solutions required to satisfy the customer’s need(s)
14. Provide innovative strategies and tactics to secure and win profitable business
15. Maintain relationships and further develop business opportunities with existing customers
16. Ensure sufficient contact is made at all levels within a customer/prospect account as part of a development strategy
17. Make regular use of product demonstrations, factory, branch, and reference site visits
18. Provide, on request, a detailed account strategy for all larger customers/prospects in territory
19. Attend and actively participate in all regular sales meetings on a monthly basis
20. Investigate customer complaints and account queries and endeavour to arrive at a satisfactory outcome

We’re interested in candidates with experience in:

21. Direct sales experience (B2B)
22. Commercially minded with strong business acumen.
23. PC literate
24. Understanding of marketing principles and account planning processes.
25. Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
26. Numerical competence
27. Excellent decision-making skills.

31. Strong relationship building and influencing skills
