SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex are looking for educators who bring calm leadership, emotional awareness and consistency into the classroom.
These roles support pupils across primary and secondary settings who may require additional behavioural or emotional guidance to engage with learning. Progress in these environments is built on structure, routine and strong adult relationships.
We are currently recruiting both qualified teachers and classroom-based support staff who want to contribute meaningfully within SEND and SEMH education.
* Teaching within SEND or SEMH classrooms
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support
* Supporting pupils during periods of dysregulation
* Reinforcing structured behaviour frameworks
* Working collaboratively with pastoral and SEN teams
* Long-term and ongoing placements
Each setting is different, but consistency and professionalism are key across them all.

Previous SEND or SEMH experience is beneficial, but the right mindset and professional approach are equally important.

* A child-only DBS is required. If you do not currently hold one, you will need to apply and pay for a DBS and register it on the Update Service. Guidance is provided to support the process.
