Sales Engineer Location: Cardiff Salary: Up to 55k DOE - plus £400 car allowance Contract Type: Permanent Shift Pattern : Are you a commercially savvy engineer with a passion for building strong customer relationships and driving growth? Were looking for a Sales Engineer who can nurture existing accounts while opening doors to new opportunities across a range of industries. Key Responsibilities Acting as the go-to contact for our customers visiting, supporting, and ensuring theyre making the most of our solutions. Identifying and developing new business opportunities, from prospecting through to closing. Collaborating with internal teams (production, engineering, technology, quality, finance) to ensure excellent service delivery. Managing enquiries and quotations, ensuring projects are accurately costed, competitively priced, and professionally presented. Using CRM tools to track opportunities, analyse market trends, and maintain clear records. Providing sales forecasts and market insights to support strategic planning. Ensuring all activities align with our quality management systems and high service standards Skills & Experience Required: A target-driven individual who thrives on results and can turn strategy into action. Experience working with quality systems and documentation ideally with exposure to APQP, NPI, or project management. Knowledge of surface engineering/thermal spray (beneficial but not essential). Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer needs and profitability. Confident communicator able to build credibility with colleagues, suppliers, and customers alike. Proficient in MS Office and comfortable working with CRM tools. Engineering qualification preferred (not essential).
